Hal is a trustworthy agent who is easy to work with. We went the FSBO route and Hal was the buyers’ agent. He was very professional, knowledgeable, reasonable, and was key in ensuring our deal closed amicably and without issue. Having him involved in the process was extremely helpful in taking care of the litany of documents and paperwork and saved us lots of time. Based on our experience working with Hal, we would recommend him to anyone who is looking for a great buying/selling experience with an excellent real estate agent.

Hal was a pleasure to work with. By far my best real estate experience ever. He really listened to what I was looking for. He was extremely thorough and he followed through on all tasks he said he was going to complete and more. He was kind, calm and helpful throughout my entire home buying process and was truly someone that I could trust. It took me almost a year and four offers before I found my dream home but Hal was attentive throughout! I would highly recommend Hal to anyone buying a home in the area!

My husband and I are relocating to Washington, and Hal was recommended to us by our mortgage lender. He met with us on short notice, which made cross country house hunting easy and less stressful. Hal provided us with a folder full of information about Whidbey Island, the towns on Whidbey, points of interest and fun things to do. He was a huge help in our home search!

We sold our house about 2 weeks which met our expectation since the houses sold within 1-2 days were pretty common in our area. Our house got many compliments from the guests had visited us. And our house was well maintained with move in condition even with 16 solar panels installed with annual income from the extra energy was produced. But we settled than what we asked. I am not expert but this was our the number 4th sold house. I am wondering there was a negotiation space to draw the line closer to the price we asked. And from our own experience with the previous 3 Realtors and house warming parties we went, I saw the gratitude from the realtors always favor the next business for them.

Hal Hovey deserves HIGHER than a 5 star rating! His thorough knowledge and expertise in listing and selling Whidbey island properties plus his professionalism and integrity made the selling of our Whidbey home a positive experience exceeding all our expectations.To increase our home's appeal, Hal generously offered to stage it using his own furniture, his time, and his wife's interior decorating skills. They created an up-dated, expansive look which showed well in on-line virtual tours and promotional photos. Our home's well-attended, first open house showing resulted in a purchase offer 2 days later.Shortly afterwards, critical electrical repairs were begun which required permits and inspections. Hal frequently monitored the repairs' progress to get everything completed quickly. After the final inspection, the properly signed permits were available on-site, ready to be reviewed by the buyers and their inspector. We were relieved that after the buyer's inspection, no requests were made for any repairs or corrections.We would again list our home for sale with Hal Hovey!!

Hal Hovey helped us to sell our rental property in Oak Harbor while we lived on the other side of the country. Hiring an agent over the phone was intimidating, but never once did we regret our decision to hire Hal. At all times he was easy to reach via phone or email, and in every single communication, he was helpful and professional. Hal was very knowledgeable about the market and gave us tailored advice for selling our home for top dollar. From providing a detailed list of maintenance and upgrade recommendations to personally seeing through all work we had done on our home, Hal was always available and willing to be hands-on when we could not be. We asked so much of Hal and yet he never failed to bring his best, so much so that our house was under contract in days with multiple offers above asking price!! Hal Hovey was truly stellar, and we couldn’t have asked for a better agent.

Hal Hovey was excellent from start to finish in selling our mother's condo for us via phone and fax....he set the price, got a buyer lined up and handled all the paperwork in less than two months. He also coordinated with the rental management company so the process went smoothly.We would definitely recommend him to anyone buying or selling property in the Whgidbey Island area.

We listed our home with Mr. Hovey at the end of February, 2018. In just over a month, the house was sold and escrow had closed. Mr. Hovey was involved in every aspect, and guided us through the process with no unforeseen surprises. Truly one of the most seamless real estate experiences we've ever had.

Hal and his partner for our property Veronica, both went above and beyond to sell a very unique piece of property for us. We are extremely happy with everything they did to help this process along. From creating a great online presence, promotional flyers, finding contractors to get the property ready for market to dealing with the various difficulties that arose due to the unique features of the property, they were on the ball. They were very responsive, very knowledgeable, and very good at guiding us through the process. Use Hal! We will next time for sure!
